Life catches up with us from time to time and pulls us down to the surface, where we become grounded for a time. When it does, it reminds us that the things we fought so valiantly to accomplish or ascertain may mean something in the context of time & to our egos. The reality is that most if not all of this fan fair will fade into the void. But the things that will mean something when we are gone and when we move past this earthly plane become so much more present when confronted by our mortality & the loss of the things that really matter. Love, laugh, extend your hand in friendship & be the person that will be remembered, not for what has been accomplished but merely for being an awesome person.
