I'VE GOT THE MUSIC IN ME

Music has been a part of my life for many years. It is not just a subject matter. It is a part of my very soul, my existence, and often the prevailer of my sanity. A gift from God is how I preceive my abilities to portray my experiences and my stories through song.

A Discovery of Music

Albums

Mark's music career spans over three decades. He released demos and albums early on with bands like Sentinel & Portrait out of New Jersey and later with Persian Risk, BILOXI & Chasing Karma. His band Fiction Syxx released 3 albums between 2017 & 2021, Kick The Wicked released an EP called Drag Magnet in 2022 and numerous singles since then. Mark is currently working on a solo album.

Fiction Syxx

Fiction Syxx is a band comprised of members of high profile bands. JK Northrup (King Kobra, XYZ, Paul Shortino), Larry Hart (King Kobra, Montrose), Eric Ragno (The Babys, Joe Lynn Turner), Rory Faciane (Session Drummer), Tony "The Fretless Monster" Franklin (The Firm/Blue Murder/White Snake), and Mark Lanoue (BILOXI, Persian Risk).

The debut release had a number of high profile featured artists.

Kick The Wicked

Kick The Wicked is an award winning band that has been together since 2021. They release material that spans from Heavy to Ballad to Rock. The members of Kick The Wicked are Mark Lanoue, Scott Campbell and Rory Faciane. Their first release was an EP called Drag Magnet. it was released in August of 2022. Their songs "FireFly" & "Monkeys in a Jar" have won numerous awards between 2023 & 2025. The band is working on a full length album.

Solo Releases

Mark is working on his upcoming solo album. He has released a single called "Whispers Still" and is working on a beautiful song called "Forever My Love" which is a testament and his swansong to his Forever Love, who passed Away on April 16th, 2025. Lisa was Mark's soul mate, best friend, lovers, bride and mother of his 3 children. They met when she was 16 and he 17 and were together for most of their lives. Stay tuned, as this single will be out in the coming months.

Collaborations

Mark has been involved with numerous collaborations over the years and has some new collaborations are in the works right now in 2025. There is some good music coming your way soon from the mind of the Gemini.

Tributes

Mark is part of a tribute group called Wicked Tributes. The members are from the band Kick The Wicked and occasionally work with other artists to produce these tributes. Everything from Megadeth to the Bee Gees. Nothing is of limits for these trixters of the tribute world.

Featured Guest

Mark has been on numerous albums and songs as a featured artist and has collaborated with artists around the world. Over the years he had been on several Liberty N Justice releases and has recently been on a song on an album by Heartbanger out of Spain, and a song for the Mighty One out of Canada.

Live Performances

Mark has been performing live since the early 80's. Before his Rock Star days, he played Tenor Saxophone for years to large crowds. Later he would tour and play festivals and has been performing for decades. Word has it that he may be performing live in India near the end of 2025.
