The Gemini Mind, Mark Allen Lanoue, is Award-winning artist, founding member of Fiction Syxx and Kick The Wicked, Songwriter, Vocalist, Guitarist, innovator, PhD Candidate, Inventor, author, and Inductee to the NASA "Space Technology Hall of Fame.

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to an immigrant mother and a father with the propensity to wear trouble like a badge of honor. the life of Mark Lanoue has been filled with a wide array of experiences based on this world and beyond the current plane of existence. His life has always been based on a foundation of faith, love, and hope.

​Although Mark's new book "Reality was Once the Tapestry of the Dreamer" chronicles quite a bit of his life's journey, a new chapter begins that moves into the recent loss of his forever love on April 16th, 2025. The journey now altered and a new chapter begins. For the Gemini Mind, the world may once again be a strange place and existence, at times, once again a myriad of emotions hidden behind the mask of artistic projection. So thus full circle to where it all began.

Mark Allen Lanoue has been releasing music for decades. Bands, Collaborations, Songwriter Credits, Featured Artist Credits, Singles, and Full Length Albums. Below is just a snapshot of those releases... And the Music Continues.....
BILOXI
The 2007 'In the Wake of the Storm' was released. The album was being recorded and was mostly finished, except for vocals, before Hurricane Katrina hit and devastated all involved. Once we picked up the pieces to finish the album, tragedy struck again in the passing of our band mate and founding member of BILOXI, Clyde Holly. Faced with an album and a legacy to carry on for the band that Clyde founded, the remaining members of the band pushed forward and finished the third album by the band. Mark Lanoue who had been serving as the lead guitarist and co songwriter took the reigns as the lead vocalist to finish what was started. Dean Fasano came down to coach Mark. The band then performed live at ROCKLAHOMA 2008 to support the release. Bruce Stefan Foster (KISS, Gladys Knight, Grammy Nominee) played keys on several tracks.
Chasing Karma
The 2011 release 'COSMOCRACY' was an effort by the existing and new members of BILOXI to transmission from the band that no longer had the founding member. the songs were a bit more modern than the BILOXI material which teetered on the line of AOR and Melodic Progressive. There were a number of heavier to ballad tunes with featured artists on keys. Bruce Stefan Foster (Kiss, Gladys Knight, Richie Sambora) played on the song 'Tell Me' and Shane Keister (Elvis Presley, Volcano Management Atlantic Records) played on 'Say Goodbye'. The band was slated to perform live at the CPR Fest in Gulfport Mississippi in 2012 with other acts like Halestorm, CAVO, Evanescence, and Chevelle.
Fiction Syxx
The 2017 debut 'Tall Dark Secrets' released on Melodic Rock Records. This was an 11 song full length album/CD that had numerous guests from the industry such as, Bill Leverty (Firehouse), Jimi Bell (House of Lords, Autograph, the Geezer Butler Band), Tony 'The Fretless Monster' Franklin (The Firm, Blue Murder, Whitesnake), Lee Small (Shy, the Sweet), Carl Sentance (the Geezer Butler Band, Nazareth), and others. The band is comprised of JK Northrup (King Kobra, XYZ), Rory Faciane (Session Drummer), Eric Ragno (The Babys, Joe Lynn Turner), and Mark Allen Lanoue (BILOXI, Persian Risk (USA), Dean Fasano (Message, Prophet, Vinnie Moore).
Fiction Syxx
The 2019 sophomore effort 'The Alternate Me' released on Melodic Rock Records, saw a new incoming member to the Fiction Syxx family. Larry Hart (King Kobra, Montrose) took over on bass guitar. The rest of the band remained intact. This album remained in the vein of Progressive Melodic Rock, but the band was starting to gel as a cohesive unit. Although the debut remains a cult classic for many, this album shows a difference side of the band and the songwriting. Mark Lanoue was also staring to explore different facets of his voice moving into this 2nd album.
Fiction Syxx
The 3rd album/CD by Fiction Syxx 'Ghost of My Fathers Past' starts to reveal the underlying talents of this entire band as a unit and as individual musicians. The prowess is in all the members of this band. Thunderous bass, guitar precision, vocal range and dynamics, intense and well through out drumming, and well rounded keyboard skills. The band also shows another side of the unit with the cover of Black Sabbath's "Children of The Sea" where Mark Lanoue shows his earlier influence by the Late Great Ronnie James Dio.
Kick The Wicked
Kick The Wicked 'Drag Magnet' is an EP released in August of 2022. It is the first released music by the band made up of Mark Allen Lanoue, Scott Campbell, and Rory Faciane. The band was born out of a tribute project of over 50 tributes covering great artists from the 70's and beyond. Since this release, the band has released numerous singles including the award winning songs 'FireFly' & 'Monkeys in a Jar'. The band is currently working on a full length album with new material and re master tracks. www.kickthewicked.com 2022-Present.
