In 2005, after changing the landscape of Hyperspectral imaging, me along with several other brilliant colleagues and the technology we developed were inducted into the NASA “Space Technology Hall of Fame.” Those years between 1996 & 2005 were filled with the excitement of a new frontier in science & tech and a whirlwind of thoughts sparking my imagination as to what we could study, analyze and discover with this Technology. In recent years, a new breed of scientists, students, and technologists have been rediscovering the utility of this technology & it is refreshing to see. My papers from years ago are being cited more than ever, and I am proud of that small team of visionaries at NASA Stennis Space Center that found their niche in the early development of this Technology. The misconception that awarded technologists & rockstars are rewarded with riches is often far from the truth, many do not taste nor reap the rewards of financial freedom (e.g., Tesla), they do however change the world and leave this place a little more exciting and better off then what it was before they reached for the stars. - Be Novel, be the dreamer, for “Reality was Once the Tapestry of the Dreamer.” - The Gemini Mind (Mark Allen Lanoue)
